Welcome to the 'You Uniquely' room. Here is the place to find out more about three fantastic events we are hosting on Saturday 22nd May around fostering with a disability, fostering within the LGBT+ community and fostering and faith.
If you have any questions about these or any of our events please send us a email, the team will be happy to help.

11am - 11.30am Fostering with a disability
It is a common misconception that people with disabilities can’t foster. We'll meet a foster carer who also has a disability and will be talking about the support, guidance, and training available and how fostering has changed his life.

2pm - 2.30pm LGBTQ+ & Fostering
As part of this event, you will meet Jamie from New Family Social, an organisation established to offer advice, support & advocacy for LGBT+ foster carers and adoptees. and Amy a National Fostering Group Carer Recruitment Office, as they will be discussing fostering and the LGBTQ+ community.

2.30pm - 3pm Faith & Fostering
Our children, young people and foster carers have a wide range of backgrounds. Our priority is to match them in to create a secure, stable and loving environment.
We’ll be talking to Keith and Shahnaz about fostering and the different ways in which faith has influenced and supported their fostering journeys
